Asus has launched the ZenWatch 2, the latest Android smartwatch to hit the Indian market. Asus had announced the smartwatch in June last year and it went on sale in the United States of America in October 2015.
The ZenWatch 2 comes in two models, WI501Q is a larger smartwatch with 1.63 inch AMOLED display (320×320 pixel resolution, 278 ppi) and WI502Q is a smaller smartwatch with a 1.45 inch AMOLED display (280×280 pixels, 273 ppi)
Asus has launched both the models in India and is now available exclusively on e-commerce website Flipkart. Asus will also sell the smartwatch at their Exclusive store at a later date.
Asus ZenWatch 2 comes in a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. It’s a dust and water resistant watch, that is compatible with smartphones running on Android 4.3 (or above) and iOS. The ZenWatch comes with 300mAh (WI501Q) / 400mAh (WI502Q) battery respectively. It also includes sensors like 6-axis gyroscope and accelerometer.
Last month Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) was launched at Rs 19999 on Flipkart and later went on sale in Amazon India. Well, it looks like the Moto 360 has some competition now, as the ZenWatch 2 has been priced quite competitively.
